About

I currently teach high school students at a private school. Classes I teach include English, History, Art and Art History.

For over 10 years, I taught writing at John F. Kennedy University. I helped students in the Writing Center as well as in the classroom, leading classes such as Critical Thinking & Writing, Intro to Academic Writing, and World Cultures & Art Types.

I have served as a writing consultant at several university writing centers and edited academic papers in the fields of psychology, art history and education.

I also have training in elementary phonics instruction using the Lindamood-Bell system.

I love helping learners improve their voice as writers, discover the pleasure of reading and accomplish their academic goals.  My patience and skill have successfully supported students with dyslexia, autism, 2e and other learning and organizational challenges. When not teaching, I enjoy playing the fiddle and drawing.
